The town and blue flag beaches of Dawlish and Dawlish Warren, including nature reserve are only 2 minutes away in the car from Lockwood House. Dawlish Warren has a variety of go-carts bumper cars, slide complex and bungee trampoline and usual arcades and ice-creams available, ideal for families.

Powderham Castle is very near and has a variety of outdoor events which are entertaining for adults and children alike.

The historic city of Exeter is 15 minutes by car, or train from Dawlish, with its large cathedral and quay with variety of waterside shops and foot passenger ferry.

Dartmoor is also a short drive away for those who enjoy walking.

Lockwood House is almost a nature reserve in itself as we have geese, ducks, small chickens and guinea-pigs!
